Chrysalis Complementary Therapy is a result of many years of faith and commitment from Rachel.  She started working in healthcare as a volunteer at her local  Leonard Cheshire home, working with staff and residents. Her own experience of serious illness developed in her an interest in holistic therapies. After gaining a BSC (HONS) Nursing at Brighton university, she worked within the NHS mental health provision. Working with clients who experience both complex mental and medical conditions, it highlighted the delicate balance of using conventional medicine for serious disorders without causing unwelcome side effects.

The cornerstone to Rachels' philosophy is that treating illness is not just about prescribing medicine but about taking an holistic approach considering the psychological and spiritual as well as the physical body. Conventional medicine and complementary therapies when working alongside each other and backed by a therapist who has a deep understanding of both systems, can bring relief and healing on every level

SNHS Diplomas in Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Hopi Ear Candling & Nutrition - All with Grade A Distinctions.

Reiki (Southwinds School)

As a talented musician and performer herself,  Rachel combines her passions in her unique service to performers -helping them to manage the immense stresses and  injuries caused by demanding schedules - the discipline of Performing Arts Medicine
