Nutritional therapy is the use of nutrition/ foods and health knowledge to enable your body to function more effectively and so make you feel healthier. It can help alleviate a wide range of health conditions (including both chronic and acute health problems) and can play a part in preventing disease.
A poor diet will give you too many or too few calories, not enough vitamins and minerals, and will actually make you need more of the antioxidants that you aren't getting
Firstly, we identify any immediate issues you have by looking at how your body is functioning right now. We then look at the key areas of your life, searching for the imbalances/ problems which are the root causes of current problems and focus on your diet and approach to food in general. I always ask people to be totally honest about their diet and feelings towards nutrition– however bad it may sound when you speak it out loud!

Once we have the full picture, we formulate a plan of actions which may include changes to your diet, education and exploration of new foods, a supported change in the way you approach food and how you feed yourself and your family
It’s really all about you. I can’t make you change what you do but I can and will show you exciting alternatives and healthy ways forward.
Guidance & Books
There are thousands of books on nutrition and different diets it can be a complete mine-field! I prefer to work with people in person. I truly believe that in person can you really be effective and resolve issues in a dynamic and flexible way.
Your nutritional guidance could be educational sessions such as learning what the labels actually mean and knowing what to look for, planning menus for you and your family, ideas for allergy sufferers, exploring foreign foods or busting those food myths.
